Investigation
After waking up, the group began its Day 2 investigation in the shed outside at around 10:05 a.m. According to Al, no other group had investigated the building. While doing EVP sessions, occasionally the EMF and K2 meters would have spikes to questions or comments that were made. The group members attempted to see if there was any logical reason for the spikes (e.g. wires, etc) that could possibly set it off. Originally, it was thought a cell phone was the reason for it, but even after the phone was shut off, the meters continued to spike. This would happen about five times. It was also thought that possibly a truck was the reason behind it. At times the EMF spikes appeared to correlate with a truck that came and left from the property when Al came home. Upon asking the owner if there was a CB radio in the cab, the owner stated there was none.
During one of the EMF spikes was in response to us asking if the spirit didn’t like Noah. Several questions were then asked about what about Noah the spirit may not have liked, including if it was because he had facial hair. A possible response was heard on the recording. Please see audio EVP CD to hear this clip.
The group, along with Al, decided to head into town to get some lunch. Again, all equipment was left running while everyone was out of the house.
Upon returning to Willow Creek, the PIM members then set out to look for the small cemetery just up the road to see where the Holmes family (original owners of the building) laid.
Once back to the house, the group would begin their day-time investigation on the second level. While walking from room to room, Karen had a dizzy spell in the Northwest Bedroom, but was fine upon leaving the room.
The group wanted to do an EVP session near the Master Bedroom area. At this time, Michael and Noah were in the Sitting Room, while Karen was in the Master Bedroom. An experiment with a ball was tried in the Sitting Room to see if “Lily” would be able to move it. Noah also tried a flashlight trick by unscrewing part of the flashlight so a spirit could lightly touch it to make the light go on. During this experiment, the flashlight did turn on twice. It is not known if this was a spirit making contact, or if it may have been how the batteries in the flashlight settled. There were no EMF spikes during this time to show otherwise.
Noah then decided the group should look in the attic. According to Al, no other group had gone up there before during their investigations. While in the attic, Michael would pick up on the young-male spirit Karen picked up on the day before in the Northwest Bedroom – Noah and Karen were at the bottom of the stairs. Michael asked Karen if she had gotten a name for the boy – she almost thought the name was “Robert,” while Michael got the name “Robbie”.
After Michael got down the stairs, Karen then went up to do an EVP session with the young male. Noah later would go into the attic and check out the entire area. During this time, no paranormal activities occurred, but please see the audio evidence CD for an EVP caught during Karen’s EVP session.
The group would head back downstairs and then out to the shed. No unusual activities occurred in the shed at this time.
From the moment Michael did an evaluation of the property, he felt a particular tree in the middle of one of the fields was calling out to him. The group attempted at this time to go to the tree, but was very unsuccessful – the rainfall from the weekend made the fields too muddy to venture out.
Once back to the house, all members of PIM got ready to go to dinner. They left all equipment running once again while they left. Al also left to go by a friend’s place, so no one was in the home while the group was out.
Upon returning, the group tried to figure out where they wanted to investigate first. Since they hadn’t been to the barn yet as a team, they figured they would start there. While in the barn, no paranormal activities occurred. The group also headed back to the shed for another quick EVP session there.
Back inside the house near the dining table, Karen said she felt someone touch her back from her right shoulder blade to her left. She originally thought it was Noah, but he stated he didn’t think he touched her.
Once again, power was cut at this point, and the group figured they would start their evening investigation in the living room. No occurrences happened at that time.
The team then moved onto the older part of the basement. Karen was placed in the actual part of the basement, Noah was on the stairs and Michael was at the very top of the stairs. No paranormal activities occurred at this time.
Al returned to the house around 9:45 p.m. Everyone in the house then met at the dining table to do an EVP session as well as attempt a Ouija board session (NOTE: PIM experiments with Ouija boards as another investigative tool, just as with dowsing rods, pendulums, scientific equipment, etc). Nothing occurred during the Ouija board session.
As an experiment, Karen suggested the group have a casual discussion so the attention was not focused on the spirits to see if they would try to reach out. During this time, there were noises that occurred that Al stated were not house noises. Also, there was at one point a time when there was a temperature drop next to Al.
Prior to the power being turned back on (which was around 11:45 p.m.), Karen went to use to the restroom and noticed one of the mirrored cabinet doors was wide open (a trick Al says “Big Mike” plays on him at times). Al had just been in the restroom and didn’t mention anything out of the ordinary. A camera was then placed in the bathroom to see if the door would swing back open.
After the power was turned back on, the group headed upstairs. Karen was asked to sit in the NW Bedroom to try to contact “Robbie” once again – all other members and Al were in the hallway or in the side Bathroom.
Noah then noticed one of the IR lights from the Master Bedroom was blocked out by something. Al thought it was “Sarah,” the female spirit in the house. During the EVP session, Karen asked Michael to take a picture of her as she thought she saw a white orb fly past her right shoulder. Nothing was found in any photos.
During that time, Karen would later say she felt a difference in how the NW Bedroom felt. It had more of a negative feeling to it. She then tried to ask “Robbie” to make a knocking sound, in which there was a reply. She would try this two more times, and a knock was heard in response. According to Michael, he didn’t believe the last knock was “Robbie,” but possibly someone else. Please see audio evidence to hear this.
Karen then quickly stated, in a calm way, she didn’t feel good and thought she was getting a caffeine headache from the coffee she had at dinner – Al would tell her that it wasn’t a headache. Michael tried to reassure her things were going to be fine and that she should push through it. She started crying and screaming, “I don’t want to do this anymore.” After a minute, Michael helped her out of the room and Noah took her to the Sitting Room. Noah would go back into the NW Bedroom while Al stayed with Karen.
While in the NW Bedroom with Michael, Noah would state he felt his one leg was experiencing what felt like electrical pulses. He checked his phone in his pocket, but the pulses were felt near his lower leg. Michael would also feel a slight tap on the top of his head around the same time.
The group would then head back downstairs after Karen stated she started to feel the headache once again.
Noah and Michael returned upstairs to confront the negative spirit, which Michael would later call “Reverend”. No other occurrences happened during the confrontation, but Michael would go on to say he felt the “Reverend” was looking for Karen. Karen would also state the same thing after Michael and Noah came back downstairs.
As a group, everyone in the house decided to go out toward the barn because Michael felt he needed to go out there all evening. During this time at the barn, no paranormal activities occurred.
Although everyone decided at this point it was a good time to sleep, the activities did not stop until later in the evening. Taking the places everyone slept the night before, Michael would radio down to Noah on three separate accounts.
- He thought he heard someone near the staircase going downstairs. Noah went upstairs to investigate, but nothing had been found at that time.
- Michael had seen a tall shadow move in the room. Unfortunately, because he moved his camera to a different position earlier in the night, the shadow was not caught on film.
- He had heard thumping noises coming from the attic. This is where Michael believes the “Reverend” resides when not in the NW Bedroom.
Karen at one point also felt like someone stepped straight down on the side of her air mattress. Noah thought it was a cat, but to she didn’t see a cat run by, plus she said it felt like the entire end of the mattress was pressed down and let go right away – the mattress was full of air at that time.
DEPARTURE:
All members of PIM gathered equipment from all parts of the house and packed up. The group left at approximately 11 a.m. No paranormal activities occurred during the morning hours they were awake, although Al did notice the computer monitor had weird markings in the dust that were not there the day before. Please see photo evidence for this.

Conclusion
Overall the atmosphere at Willow Creek Farm is friendly and inviting but there are times and locations at this farm which can feel very ominous and foreboding. The evidence we captured is not groundbreaking by any means (although no EVPs were captured at Willow Creek before our investigation), but it does point to something paranormal occurring at Willow Creek Farm.
The personal experiences every PIM member had strongly indicates there is an active haunting taking place. It is PIM’s hope that future investigations will yield stronger and more striking evidence of this fact. Willow Creek Farm is a great example of multiple spirits haunting one location, and the history the farm has been a part of has definitely left its mark on the property. Willow Creek Farm was an excellent place to investigate and PIM looks forward to its next investigation.

Impressions
Karen K’s Initial Impressions
Top of stairs leading to newer basement – I felt a heavy feeling that almost tipped me over. At the time was not sure what this feeling was from.
Newer Basement – I saw out of the corner of my eye a large white object (the lights were still off), which disappeared very quickly. I didn’t really pick up much in the sense of spirit here.
Original Basement – I didn’t pick up on the negative feeling some people felt. While there, I felt my wrist was grabbed a few times, then felt something grab my arm in three different places.
Parlor Room – I felt there was a man in there. I couldn’t make out any features except he seemed to have broad shoulders and was tall.
Blue Room – When standing on the edge of the room and Parlor, I was overcome with the intense feeling of terror. I don’t know what I was looking at, but I remember looking at all corners of it and was in shock. The feelings were so intense I almost started crying and actually had to leave the room. I get the feeling either someone was hurt there, something happened unexpectedly, or possibly the area was used for funerals back in the day.
NW Bedroom – I saw a young male in the inset section of the room. He appeared to be sitting with his arms around his legs and his head tucked under his arms. He had sandy-blondish hair, wearing blue overalls and a white T-shirt. I got the impression he was scared and trying to hide. Not sure why.
“Lily’s Room” – I picked up on a little girl. I pictured her with brownish-blonde curly hair tied with two small ribbons. She was wearing a dress – possibly 1800s style. I don’t know why, but she reminded me of Shirley Temple in a way – but she’s a very happy spirit.
On the way to seeing the Master Bedroom – I felt as if Noah, Al and myself were being followed by a curious-older gentleman. He appeared to stand almost six feet tall, short grey hair – possibly a mustache. He appeared to be gentle-hearted and more or less just curious as to why we were there.
Outside – While talking with Al, I felt the presence of Native Americans traveling through the field next to the house. I also got the feeling, not too far away from the property, something with the Revolutionary War had occurred.
Shed – I didn’t pick up on much, except that my head started hurting really bad across the right side of my forehead. Thinking there was a correlation with the location, I stepped outside quick and the pain went away within seconds. Once upon inside, the pain started up again. There may have been a possible incident where someone had a head injury in the shed.
Barn – While in the back section of it, I constantly felt someone standing behind me while we did an EVP session. Although Michael didn’t pick up on it, I picked up on a male that was wandering between the stalls. He appeared to be watching me and following me. I could picture him as a skinny male possibly in his late 20’s-early 30’s maybe. High cheek bones, short hair. I thought he was wearing a blue-plaid shirt and suspenders. I got the impression he wasn’t from this property, but perhaps was a man from one of the nearby farms. I got the impression he was a womanizer, and was perhaps having relations with one of the farmer’s daughters.
KAREN’S FEELINGS/PERSONAL EXPERIENCES DURING INVESTIGATION:
During the first night, I didn’t get too much. Everything seemed calm I thought. But when we did our EVP sessions in “Lily’s” room, I felt as if “Lily” was hanging around me – like she trusted me. It would be this feeling of her I would carry with me throughout the investigation.
While sleeping that night, I didn’t feel anything, but at one point I woke up to what I thought was a woman screaming. Upon asking Noah if he heard it, he stated it might have just been thunder or I might have been dreaming. I was dreaming – yes – but wasn’t dreaming anything that was like that. Will have to look to audio to confirm this or not (NOTE: on the audio it could have possibly been Al snoring, but it did sound like a scream).
The next morning, I thought at one point I heard my name being called from the one corner of the living room. No one else heard it. It could have been my imagination as I was just waking up.
I don’t recall feeling much during the day time except for when we were upstairs during the afternoon doing EVP sessions. Going into the NW Bedroom, I got dizzy and actually had to hold onto the wall to keep balance. Something didn’t feel right. I also felt “Lily” was staying in her room near the dresser in the one corner – like she was playing hide-and-go-seek.
When Michael and Noah decided to try looking in the attic, Michael picked up on my young male spirit (he didn’t during his initial walk-through). Michael asked me if I had gotten a name for the spirit – at first I didn’t, but then the name “Robert” popped into my head. Michael at that point said his impression was the boy’s name was “Robbie”. In the attic, I could sense “Robert” or “Robbie” was hiding in the corner above “Lily’s” Room – he didn’t seem to want to be bothered.
We went to dinner around 5:30 – 6 p.m. from what I can remember. When we came back, something in the house changed. The moment we got there, I actually was freaking out. Noah would probably blame it on the 6+ cups of coffee I had, but there was just something eerie about the place. While standing at the table, I swear I thought Noah had rubbed his hand across my upper back. He claims he didn’t touch me, and if he did, he didn’t realize it. He was a few feet from me, so I can’t say for sure if it was or wasn’t him. Hopefully the video camera pointing toward that direction will be able to give more insight.
While doing an EVP session in the Original Basement, I sat alone on the concrete floor near the water piping and machines. I did sense someone standing in front of me staring me down. I couldn’t make out any features. I didn’t feel threatened, but I felt very uncomfortable.
When Al arrived and we did our group session, I felt the presence of someone in the Parlor that was unfamiliar. I felt “Big Mike” in the corner of the kitchen, “Joe” by the stairs, “Sarah” next to Al and “Lily” next to the door that led upstairs. They all seemed interested in the stories we were telling and didn’t appear threatening.
Next was the NW Bedroom. I felt uneasy going in by myself, and the other members knew it. It was more because I was alone in a room I didn’t feel completely safe in, and I didn’t know why.
Upon talking to “Robbie,” I felt more at ease. I felt comfortable. I know talking about the negative all the time wasn’t probably going to help, so I started to talk to him about things that he use to like. It was at that point Noah thought he saw the IR light from Michael’s camera get blocked out. All attention went from me to that situation. It was at that exact moment the mood in the room changed. I could definitely sense something growing in the one corner (in that inset section) – and it started to get me on edge.
While sitting there, I saw an actual orb fly toward me and past me over my right shoulder. I asked if anyone else had seen it, but no one had been looking at me. Photos didn’t show anything at that point from what I know.
“Robbie” seemed to get nervous and vanished as I kept feeling the room growing strange and negative. I mentioned to the other members I thought I needed to get out of the room soon – my head was starting to pound. I didn’t know if it was a caffeine head, but I definitely wanted some air. I could hear Michael telling me to stay strong and to fight it. It was the word “isolated” he used that triggered my emotions.
Mentally I freaked out. I didn’t feel like me, and I didn’t feel like I was the one speaking although I know it’s my voice heard on the recorders. I almost felt like “Robbie” was coming through me and screaming, “I don’t want to do this anymore!” It was all too much for me to handle. And I never, ever admit on cases I’m scared, but you can hear me say it on the recorders.
After Michael helped get me out of the room, I couldn’t calm down. Inside it felt like I was ripped apart. Al had me sit in the Sitting Room and asked “Sarah” to help me. I was freezing and shaking so bad, but I did feel the comforts of someone else there. After I calmed down a bit, I decided to see what was going on with Noah and Michael in the NW Bedroom. My first thought was the attic. The attic was attracting my attention, and at that point, my head started to hurt again. I told them I needed to get off of the 2nd floor – I felt him coming again.
I refused to go back up there – even the next day I refused. Just to protect myself from any more psychic harm. But at one point, I had to use the bathroom while we were still investigating. Through the floor boards I could hear a man’s voice saying continuously, “Fucking bitch! Get back here!” I said out loud, “No. I’m not going back up there. And you can’t make me.” Michael would later state he felt the negative presence was looking for me.
I was unable to sleep until after 7:30 a.m. After I dropped Michael off at his apartment, I did my usual routine of saying out loud, “If you followed me, you are not allowed to stay with me. Please go back to where you came from. You are not allowed to be in my home.” It was at that point that the smell of sulfur became very strong in my car. I didn’t smell it the entire car ride until then.
Also, during a moment of meditation in my apartment on 3/10/2009, I felt the presence of “Lily” with me. I could almost hear her say, “Thank you for being there. Everything is going to be alright.” The moment actually brought me to tears.
